Introducing the Multicam SMK Series, a high-performance dual-head CNC machine combining the capabilities of a heavy-duty CNC router with a dedicated oscillating knife cutting system. The SMK Series features a stand-alone second head with an independent high-speed Z axis, allowing routing and knife cutting operations to be performed on the same machine without compromising performance.
The robust Oscillating Knife is designed for cutting materials that cannot be efficiently processed with a conventional routing tool. Operating at up to 12,000 cycles per minute with a 1.5 mm stroke, the oscillating knife delivers smooth, fast and quiet cutting performance across a wide range of semi-rigid and flexible materials.

Dual Heads with Oscillating Tangential Knife Our SMK model machine runs both a HSD Tool Change Routing Spindle and a Oscillating Tangential Knife on a stand alone 2nd head with an independent Z axis. The oscillating tangential knife is a powerful cutting tool designed to precisely cut a wide range of materials including, Carpet, Felt, Closed Cell Foam, X-board, Ducting Insulation, Cloth or Fabric and any materials not able to be routed.
10-Position Rotary Automatic Tool Changer A new and improved 10-position rotary automatic tool changer is now fitted as standard across the entire SMK Series, replacing the previous 8-station linear tool changer. The rotary tool changer travels with the gantry, providing faster tool changes, improved efficiency and increased productivity.
Pop-Up Location Pins Pop-up location pins replace traditional side and corner blocks, providing fast, accurate and repeatable sheet positioning while making material loading and unloading easier.
Hybrid Matrix Vacuum Table The new Hybrid Matrix Table provides the ultimate in work-holding versatility by combining improved vacuum suction with the mechanical security of an integrated T-Slot clamping system. This allows operators to securely hold a wide variety of materials and workpieces, from sheet goods to smaller components and irregularly shaped parts.
25mm Helical Rack & Pinion The X and Y axes are equipped with a 25 mm helical rack and pinion drive system, replacing the previous straight rack and pinion design.
The helical system provides smoother motion, reduced operating noise and improved positioning accuracy.
Nidec Direct Drive Gearboxes Nidec Direct Drive Gearboxes are fitted to both the X and Y axes, delivering exceptional torque, precision and long-term reliability.
