AWISA - Woodworking Industry

The Australian Woodworking Industry Suppliers Association trade show allows us to demonstrate our Multicam woodworking routers and nesting machines in many forms. Nested Based Manufacturing work cells is one area where Multicam CNC routing machines excel. We also demonstrate the 3D capability of our Multicam routers by machining textured panels and walls. Being the only Australian made CNC routing machine on show earns us special recognition from show attendees and officials alike.

The work cell consists of a material loading system, automated job selection and processing through the use of a barcode scanner, and automated unloading of finished product. The live demonstrations prove hugely popular and allow us to showcase the robustness of the SR series of machines as well as the benefits of Nested Based Manufacturing.

The work cells are set up as it would be in a typical factory. Packs of material are loaded directly on to a material lifter. As sheets are loaded off the material lifter on to the machine bed, the lifter is raised in preparation for the next job cycle. The operator selects the job to be run using the barcode scanner. Once the job is selected the machine automatically starts and cuts the components. When the components have been cut the machine automatically pushes the parts on to the off loading conveyor and repositions itself ready for the next sheet of material.

At these shows we also demonstrate the 3D capabilities of our Multicam woodworking routers by producing 3D textured panels and walls. Multicam routing tables are ideal for machining large 3D wall panels in all materials.

The highly efficient MC109 dust collection system that is used also generates a lot of positive feedback. Components were machined with no dust being released in to the surrounding area or being left on the machine bed during the cutting operation.

Multicam CNC routing machines are compatible with all major software packages including Enroute, CabinetVision, Microvellum, Pytha, CabMaster, StairBiz and many more.
